Still pondering upon this. Words, words, words….

“This boy is Ignorance. This girl is Want. Beware them both,
and all of their degree, but most of all beware this boy,
for on his brow I see that written which is Doom, unless the
writing be erased. Deny it.’ cried the Spirit, stretching out
its hand towards the city. ‘Slander those who tell it ye.
Admit it for your factious purposes, and make it worse.
And abide the end.'” — A Christmas Carol, Stave 3

Ignorance will Doom us. The ignorant will slander those that try to point out that ignorance; they make their ignorance worse. It is a type of cowardice, a type of puffed-up pride, a type of sin—a cowardice, a pride, a sin that will bring doom.

“…a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.” — John F. Kennedy
